The design for this comprehensive interior renovation of Maryvale Hospital embodies its mission of “Care Reimagined.” Maryvale Hospital, an out of service 1970’s vintage acute care hospital, was transformed into a comprehensive, 192-bed behavioral health inpatient facility. The facility offers a secure, yet inviting, environment for patients, staff, families, and visitors.

Ninety-eight percent of patients admitted to Maryvale are court-ordered admissions requiring careful attention for the safety of both patients and staff. The design of patient floors incorporates the latest anti-ligature fixtures and accessories, along with an appropriate level of electronic devices to assist the care staff in monitoring patient activities 24-hours a day.
