DLR Group’s design gives a contemporary edge to the traditional Spanish Revival and Mediterranean architecture found throughout the Plaza within each layered space of the building. Spanish architecture extends inside with curved ceilings highlighting the fluid, soft nature of the space and handcrafted masonry and warm materials that evoke the feeling of home. The patterns and textures of the design bring warmth to the space with terra cotta accents paired with rich cobalt blue tones.

The design considers the location of the hotel on the Plaza: guestrooms, meeting spaces, and ballroom all have a unique vantage point over the main plaza thanks to an architectural bowl that reflects light into the large windows. Staggered brick screens and accent metals play with light as it cascades through and create transparency between spaces.
