Here to There: A Journal to Excellence and Equity in Philadelphia

As the eighth largest school system in the nation, the School District of Philadelphia leadership recognizes that education is the key to fostering equity in society. The team also believes that education itself must be equitable for the district’s 198,645 students and 19,000 employees. Troy Glover’s piece in Essentials magazine highlights how systemic change in planning, design, and construction is resulting in equitable environments for all students.

The vision of the School District of Philadelphia focuses on equity and ensuring that all students’ potential and achievement is not limited by practices that maintain systemic racism. This includes the learning environment our students attend every day."
