West-MEC Breaks Ground on New Southeast Campus
(GLENDALE, Ariz., March. 21, 2025) – Western Maricopa Education Center broke ground on its newest career and technical education campus earlier this month. The Southeast Campus, set to be built on a 30-acre plot just off the Loop 101 freeway, will be West-MEC’s fifth campus. It will be the fourth campus that West-MEC and design-partner, DLR Group, have teamed together on.

This will be the first phase of a multi-phased project. Phase one features 50,000 SF of educational space. It will provide several CTE pathways, including medical assisting, physical therapy, IT security, coding, advanced manufacturing, and welding. The design will incorporate community and industry event spaces to foster interdisciplinary connectedness and strategic economic partnerships.
Construction services are being led by CHASSE Building Team. West-MEC and its industry partners will work with CBT and DLR Group throughout the project to align the built environment with the established facilities plan and vision for the new campus. Construction will be completed by summer 2026.
