With over 35 years in the healthcare design industry, Miller brings a holistic and collaborative approach that is tailored to each project. His commitment to fostering teamwork and efficiency, grounded in Lean and Integrated Project Delivery methods, creates an environment where all stakeholders – external and internal – feel valued.

Miller’s designs go beyond functionality, transforming spaces into beautiful, memorable places that support healing. His deep understanding of programmatically complex projects is reflected in his work contributing to lasting and positive impacts on institutions and the communities they serve. Miller’s past projects include industry benchmark ideas and award-winning work with organizations throughout the Carolinas, the Mid-Atlantic, New England, and Northern California where his career began.

“The firm’s dedication to design excellence, combined with its strong planning, research and development, data analytics, and technology capabilities offers our teams an exceptional platform to deliver outstanding design for our clients,” said Miller. “I’m confident that by collaborating with our remarkable colleagues, my passion for Health District Planning and Whole Health care models will contribute to shaping significant advancements in these areas within our industry.”

Miller’s experience as a colon cancer survivor has greatly influenced his work. “Facing my diagnosis over ten years ago, along with the subsequent treatment, recovery, and survivorship, has provided me with a fresh perspective. This has enabled me to help my clients and design teams create more empathetic design solutions for the projects we collaborate on,” said Miller.

Along with his professional accomplishments, Miller offers a distinct artistic perspective, evident in the custom Vans he frequently wears. These shoes, which help alleviate his neuropathy symptoms, were inspired by his digital abstract artwork portfolio – another positive result of his journey as a survivor.
