As a professional, Hoskens touts over 30 years of planning and design experience. Her design footprint spans across the country, serving school districts in California, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and Texas, among others. Hoskens derives her inspiration from the belief that the learning environment matters and plays an important role in students’ educational experiences. This principle is what she uses to guide her conversations with clients, ensuring the built environment fully supports the vision and goals they have for their students.

Hoskens is an expert in the industry, having the unique privilege of serving as the chair of both the Association for Learning Environments and the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education. In addition, she advocates for safety and security in schools, leading an initiative with CAE on Cultivating Community and Safety in Schools. She believes that healthy schools and healthy communities go hand-in-hand.
