Holy brings more than 25 years of interior design experience, including 15 years leading projects for higher education clients. She appreciates the unique intricacies of each campus and creates interior design solutions that support a campus’ vision, mission, and goals. Holy has worked with public colleges and state and private institutions to design a variety of spaces that enhance learning and contribute to a student’s social development.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside Gretchen. While her primary focus will be designing for higher education clients, her expertise will be felt immediately among interior design teams across the firm,” said DLR Group Principal Stu Rothenberger, AIA, who leads the firm’s Higher Education studio.

“I live by the mantra ‘no one knows as much as everyone’, which is why my favorite projects are projects where communication and teamwork shine. When design teams and clients engage in meaningful dialogue, beautiful things happen,” said Holy.

Holy believes in the value of industry involvement and community leadership opportunities. She was president elect, president, and past president of the International Interior Design Association Mid-America Chapter from 2016-2018 and continues to serve as a mentor to young designers through the chapter’s Leading the Way program. She’s also active with the Kansas State University Interior Design Dean’s Advisory Board. She earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Kansas State University.
