Jessica Bantom Leading Free Healthcare Workshop on Designing for a Diverse World
Principal and Global Leader of Equity, Diversity, and Belonging Jessica Bantom will lead a free discussion and workshop titled “Design for Identity: How to Design Authentically for a Diverse World” at an upcoming Women in Healthcare New York Metro Chapter event in New York, New York. Jessica will discuss her book Design for Identity, and how it relates to healthcare design. The first 50 people to arrive will receive a complimentary copy.
The book discusses six habits of culturally competent designers that can shift outdated mindsets and result in design solutions that resonate with people of diverse backgrounds. Her Design for Identity Blueprint honors humanity, celebrates diversity, promotes equity and inclusion, and ensures that the design profession mirrors and keeps up with the realities of our evolving world.
Suzen Heeley, Executive Director, Design + Construction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, will facilitate Jessica’s workshop.
The event will be held on Tuesday, June 25 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Due to overwhelming interest, this event is currently full. Please contact Jessica to learn more about her work.
