Higher education institutions have long set the standard for responsible stewardship of public resources. In 2022, RCCD shared their innovative approach to creating a Total Cost of Ownership model at the CCFC conference, focusing on environmental stewardship. Using APPA guidelines, RCCD developed a customized model that serves as a framework for decarbonization, influencing decisions related to existing assets, new developments, and capital planning. Join this session to uncover valuable lessons learned from applying this model to real-world decision-making.

RCCD’s holistic Sustainability and Climate Action Plan also includes implementing Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage Systems across the district. In this session, you’ll get an inside look at how RCCD applied their Total Cost of Ownership model during the planning phase and what they discovered during the implementation of this $40 million districtwide project.

Don’t miss out on key takeaways that could help shape your institution’s sustainability efforts.

The session will be held on the second day of the conference, Thursday, November 7, from 3:00-4:15 PM.
